VILLA CAPRA KNOWN AS 'LA ROTONDA'

It's Palladio's most famous villa. Started in 1570 by Palladio, after his death the work was continued by Scamozzi. The villa is a square block surmounted by a dome and adorned, on facades, with four hex style porticos in the Ionic order, preceded by wide flights of steps. The four facades are identical. The interior is also perfectly symmetrical, with the
central hall covered by the dome and four corridors, each leading to a portico and giving access to the rooms. Included in World Heritage of UNESCO.
