CAVES IN COSTOZZA (COVOLI)

In Costozza there are several caves. The "Covoli" used to be a shelter and house in ancient times. Later from these caves they extracted the soft and white stone, used by Palladio for building his Villas. The excellent local wine has been kept in these caves at a constant temperature of 13°C.
